Hate It Or Love It; Single Life In Las Vegas Is One Of A Kind

Some people come to Las Vegas and hope to find Lady Luck on their side. But, not many people say they came here and found Mr. or Mrs. Right.

Rumor has it that it’s tough to be single in Las Vegas, with so many visitors in and out of the city, and residents from all different walks of life. Some may thrive on that energy, and love the single life, but others find it difficult to connect with someone on a deeper emotional level.

There’s no doubt the dating game has changed, and the Internet and social media present new opportunities to interact with one another and find companionship for just about anything, anywhere, anytime.

So what is it that makes Las Vegas such a unique place to date and have relationships? KNPR speaks to several people who seek specific ways to network and get in the community for friends and relationships, as well as a marriage and family therapist with a specialty in relationships and dating.

GUESTS

Alexa Elington, Las Vegas marriage and family therapist

Lauren Pena, Las Vegas resident, co-founder of Project Duo

Sam Pocker, Las Vegas resident and speed date organizer

Brenda Fritz, Las Vegas resident and Meetup coordinator
