County Commission Funds Constable Operations

The Clark County Commission on Tuesday approved a $2 million loan to support the Las Vegas constable’s operation and the constable offices of Henderson and North Las Vegas for the rest of the fiscal year, which ends July 1, 2015. The Metropolitan Police Department takes over the operation next month when the term of Las Vegas Township Constable John Bonaventura ends. Constable offices are supported for the most part by the fees they collect for services such as evictions and serving court papers.
