New Mexico Wants Tesla

Several states are still in the running to woo the electric car company Tesla. New Mexico is one of those states and several residents there are taking an extra step to help Tesla representatives choose them.

KOAT-TV reported yesterday that a group of New Mexico residents are offering their own land in metro Albuquerque for Tesla to build its battery plant. Businessman John Edward offered 400 acres of his property to Tesla. The New Mexico Economic Development Secretary says multiple offers of donated land have come in from around the state.

Other states Tesla officials are considering include: California, Texas, Arizona and Nevada. You can hear our conversations about Tesla's move at KNPRTALK.org.
