Is Nevada's Beauty Pageant Corrupt?

There might be a growing controversy over beauty pageants in Nevada and the recently crowned Miss USA. The Las Vegas Review Journal is reporting that Nia Sanchez, Miss Nevada, may have faked her residency to compete in the Silver State competition. The competition's rules state one must have at least six months of residency in Nevada before competing in beauty pageants. Sanchez denies the allegations. The Review Journal showed that nearly half of the 33 contestants in the Miss Nevada competition were from out of state. Nia Sanchez is the first Nevadan to win the Miss USA competition.
