MGM Launching In Massachusetts

MGM Resorts International was picked to open a new resort and casino in Springfield, Massachusetts. On Friday the Massachusetts Gaming Commission unanimously awarded MGM the first license to operate a casino within the state, pending efforts to repeal the state's casino laws. This is one of three licenses that will be awarded. The state's Supreme Judicial Court is expected to decide by July 9 whether a referendum to repeal the state's casino law should be allowed on the November ballot.
