What Value Would A Stadium Bring?

A new stadium on the UNLV campus could generate millions for the city depending on the type of stadium. The consulting firm of Conventions, Sports and Leisure International released their newest report to the stadium board on Thursday. In it they claim that an open-air stadium on campus would generate $7 to $8.3 million a year in revenue - while a domed stadium could generate between $12 to $14 million a year. Board officials also added the possibility of hosting a Major League Soccer team. Las Vegas is currently looking into building a soccer stadium at Symphony Park. The UNLV stadium board will submit a final report with a financing plan to the legislature by October.
