Cirque, Los Angeles

The City of Los Angeles and Cirque Du Soleil are working on grand plans to bring a permanent show to the Kodak theatre in Hollywood. A deal has already been reached that will put a Hollywood themed Cirque production at the Kodak for 10 years with up to 368 performances a year. The show will be partly funded with public money while Cirque and a private developer will provide the rest.

Is a permanent Cirque show viable in Hollywood? And would that show siphon some business from the six, soon to be seven Cirque shows on The Strip? Los Angeles Times reporter, Carla Hall joins us to answer those question.
