California, Nevada Get A Bit More Late-Season Rain And Snow

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Scattered showers are lingering around parts of California and Nevada after the weekend's late-season storm.

The storm delivered mostly small amounts of precipitation but there were exceptions. The National Weather Service says some areas of the Sierra Nevada between Echo Summit and Sonora Pass received between 3 and 8 inches of snow.

The storm also produced extremely high winds in the Eastern Sierra, where the Mono County Sheriff's Office received several reports of swamped or capsized boats. With conditions continuing quite cool, snow levels in Southern California mountains are expected to drop as low as 4,500 feet early Tuesday.
