Teachers' Union Voices Opposition To CCSD Hybrid Learning Plan

Unions representing school employees have voiced opposition to a proposed plan to reopen Las Vegas area schools for hybrid learning during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Clark County School District Board of Trustees is set to meet Thursday at 5 p.m. to discuss the plan.

If approved, employees would be expected to return to work December 1, and hybrid learning would take effect in January.

The Clark County Education Association said in a statement Tuesday the union does not support any reopening without a robust safety program in place.
