McCarran Sees Slight Drop In Passenger Numbers From August To September

McCarran International Airport saw 1.7 million passengers come through in September, a slight drop from August’s 1.73 million passengers.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that it was the first month that passenger volume dropped since April.

Data released Thursday by the Clark County Department of Aviation show that September’s figure is a 61 percent decline from the same month last year.

An airport spokesman said last month he expected a slight drop, which usually happens in the fall, with the lack of conventions and meetings exacerbating it.
