EPA, Clark County Reach Agreement For Clean Water Act Violation

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Clark County have reached an agreement about a violation of the Clean Water Act.

In 2018 and 2019, the county dredged sediment from parts of the Colorado River near Laughlin and deposited some of that material into the Laughlin Lagoon, but it didn't get a Clean Water Act permit.

Under the agreement, Clark County will assure that various wetland conservation measures will be carried out in the area.
