The Clark County School District was unable to contact thousands of students after schools closed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
According to data provided to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, 67,000 students could not be contacted by a teacher or administrator from March 23 through March 29, which is when the district rolled out its distance learning plan.
The state Department of Education has directed teachers to contact their students at least once a week.
