Parents, Guardians Can Pick Up CCSD Meals Without Student Present

Parents and guardians will now be able to pick up free meals from a Clark County School District food distribution site without having their children with them.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports this comes after the U.S. Department of Agriculture relaxed rules for the program while asking school districts to maintain “accountability and program integrity.”

Parents at the CCSD sites will have to provide their students’ ID cards or names, identification numbers, school sites and grade levels. Clark County schools have given out over 164,000 meals at 38 food distribution sites across the district.
