Governor Steve Sisolak has created a COVID-19 task force aimed at involving the private sector in efforts to stop the virus’ spread.
The COVID-19 Response, Relief & Recovery Task Force will be headlined by former MGM Resorts CEO Jim Murren. Murren had planned to leave the gaming giant but announced today he was leaving the company immediately to head the task force.

The position is an unpaid volunteer position. The governor said Murren has already started to put together a leadership team.
Nevada now has 190 cases of the virus.
Casinos, schools and all non-essential businesses have been closed in the state for 30 days.
