The Las Vegas Raiders got the green light from Clark County officials to build event-day employee parking for Allegiant Stadium on 20 acres of the Tropicana Detention Basin.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the county commission approved the land allotment unanimously at its meeting Tuesday.
County Commissioner Michael Naft says the land “is above the floodplain and encompasses only 20 percent of the basin.”

The lease stipulates the lot will not be used if flooding happens on an event day.
