The Vegas Golden Knights have acquired goaltender Robin Lehner from the Chicago Blackhawks just minutes before Monday’s NHL trade deadline.
The deal has backup goalkeeper Malcolm Subban, 19-year-old prospect Slava Demin, and a second-round pick going to Chicago.
Lehner is 16-10-5 with a 3.01 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage. The 28-year-old native of Sweden was a Vezina Trophy finalist last season after he posted a 2.13 goals-against average and .930 save percentage for the New York Islanders.

He’ll be a free agent at the end of this season. The Knights added depth up-front in a separate deal, sending a future fourth-round pick to Montreal for Nick Cousins.
