Ex-CPA Pleads Guilty To Bribery In Hoover Dam Audit Contract

Authorities say a former Las Vegas certified public accountant became the second man to plead guilty in a bribery scheme involving an audit contract at Hoover Dam and tax fraud.

Dustin Lewis' pleas to conspiracy on Tuesday came after veteran former bureau finance chief Frederick Leavitt pleaded guilty in October.

The men could each face more than three years in federal prison at sentencing. Prosecutors alleged that Lewis paid Leavitt more than $150,000 to obtain a bureau audit contract.

A public corruption probe became public in February 2016, after the FBI raided the bureau's Boulder City regional office and searched Leavitt's home in Henderson.
