Nevada Unemployment Rate Holds Steady At 4.1% In October

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada’s unemployment rate held steady in October at 4.1%.

The state’s Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation announced Wednesday that the jobless rate was down slightly, less than half a percentage point, from the same month in 2018.

Gov. Steve Sisolak says in a statement that the state’s labor market remains positive but Nevada must work to ensure job opportunities continue.

 

The state says the construction industry has seen the fastest growth in Nevada over the past 12 months, followed by manufacturing. The professional and business services industry has added the most jobs with 11,300 created over the past year.
