Health Officials Declare West Nile Virus Outbreak In Clark County

The Southern Nevada Health District has declared an outbreak of West Nile virus in Clark County.

The district has confirmed a record 28 cases of the mosquito-borne illness.

Nineteen percent of mosquitoes tested in the valley have been positive for West Nile, compared with less than 0.1 percent last year.
