Suspect In Inmate's Murder Identified

A suspect has been identified in the death of an inmate at a private prison in Pahrump.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Nye County Sheriff's Office identified Wyatt Peterson. Peterson was the co-defendant of the victim, 28-year-old Frank Tocci.

Tocci was found dead in his cell at the Nevada Southern Detention Center early Friday during a security inspection. The sheriff's office reported that he had been strangled.

Tocci and Peterson were facing charges of assault on a federal officer. They were scheduled to go to trial in November.

There is no word on whether the two men were housed in the same cell.
