LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say an officer shot and wounded an armed man after police stopped a stolen pickup truck.
Capt. Kelly McMahill said the officer shot the suspect who had gotten out of the stolen pickup as it began rolling backward toward the officer Wednesday night.

McMahill said the pickup was stopped after it was reported stolen from the garage of a home.
The suspect was reported to be in stable condition following surgery.
