Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak has announced an initiative to provide young women in high school and college with an opportunity to learn and develop cybersecurity skills and explore a possible career in the field.
The state is partnering with the SANS Institute to launch Girls Go Cyberstart and Cyber FastTrack in Nevada.
The three high schools in Nevada that have the most participants will win financial awards, and both high school and college students have a chance to win scholarships.
