Authorities say a woman is dead and a man injured after the crash of a small plane in Kingman.
Mohave County Sheriff’s officials say the plane went down shortly before noon Sunday.
They say the crash happened about 100 yards from the sheriff’s parks ranger station and sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene.

Authorities said the woman was declared dead at the scene. The man was taken to a Kingman hospital in serious condition. The names of the victims haven’t been released yet.
Sheriff’s officials say the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have been notified about the crash and will be investigating it.
