Activists and opponents of drone strikes are protesting at Creech Air Force base this week for the fourth straight year, part of what they say is a national mobilization to oppose remotely controlled targeted killing by drones.
Twice daily vigils will be held all week at 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the entrance and exits of the base.
Activist organization Code Pink released a statement explaining the week is a commemoration and reflection on the 17 th anniversary of the invasion and war with Afghanistan, what they refer to as the “Forever War.”
