Missing Woman Sought In Search Near Mt. Rose Ski Resort

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Washoe County sheriff's deputies have resumed a search for a missing Reno woman whose car was found on a highway a few miles from the Mount Rose ski resort

Reno police say 19-year-old Madelyn Lingenfelter last was seen on Wednesday by an employee of the Tannenbaum event center along the Mount Rose Highway.

The employee saw a person in the car at that time, but when the employee stepped back outside a few hours later, the person was gone.

Police say the 2004 Gold Toyota Prius with Nevada license plates had apparently been there since Wednesday.

Lingenfelter is described as five-foot-one, 110 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Search dog teams and a helicopter with heat-detecting equipment were searching the area on Sunday.

Anyone with information should call the Reno Police Department (775-334-2677) or Secret Witness (775-322-4900).
