Housing Authority Reaches Contract Agreement With Union

The Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority has reached an agreement with its employees’ union on a three-year contract.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the agreement with Service Employees International Union Local 1107 came after more than six months of negotiations.

It includes a 3 percent cost-of-living raise in October, along with a $2,000 bonus.

The agreement affects about 200 workers.

Housing authority commissioners are expected to vote on the contract when they meet September 20.

Union steward Byron Peterson said that once the contract is ratified, SEIU will withdraw an unfair labor practice complaint it filed with Nevada’s Employee-Management Relations Board in late July.
