Reno Air Quality Suffers From California Wildfires' Smoke

RENO, Nev. (AP) — The air quality of Reno is suffering because of haze due to smoke from California wildfires.

Redding is getting smoke from several fires, including a deadly one in the area of Redding in northern California, and that put the air quality index for the Reno-Sparks area of northwestern Nevada into unhealthy levels Saturday due to ozone with fine particulates.

The Washoe County Health District says groups of people sensitive to the smoky air include people with lung disease, older people and children.
