Pro-Weapon Clothing Ban Removed From New WCSD Dress Code

The Washoe County School District is updating its dress code.

Changes include removing a ban on clothing items that “promote weapons.”

The Reno Gazette-Journal reports parents were notified of the revisions this week after a middle school student was told to remove or cover pro-gun clothing and his family sued the district, claiming the policy ran counter to the First Amendment.
