Nevada Gaming Regulators Introduce Plan To Address Sexual Harassment

Nevada gaming regulators plan to enact new standards on sexual harassment in the workplace.

State Gaming Control Board Chairwoman Becky Harris issued a notice Thursday to the state’s nearly 3,000 gaming licensees that the board and the gaming commission will soon address the new regulations.

This comes following the wave of sexual misconduct allegations against former Wynn Resorts CEO Steve Wynn.

The Wynn board of directors, as well as gaming regulators in Nevada, Massachusetts and Macau are investigating the claims.

Harris’ notification also included a 15-point checklist for licensees to gauge the strength of their anti-sexual harassment policies.

This will be the first time the Gaming Control Board has ever created a policy to combat sexual harassment in the industry.
