A veteran Las Vegas police officer was indicted Wednesday on more than two dozen kidnapping and sexual assault charges involving a child.
Bret Theil faces felony charges that include sexual assault of a minor under 14 and two counts of child abuse.
These charges carry possible sentences of life in prison. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports

Thiel has been on the force since 1998 and is currently assigned to the traffic bureau. Chief District Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez issued a warrant for Thiel’s arrest and set his bail at $1 million.
