Clark County School Teacher Facing Child Abuse Charges

A first-grade teacher at an east Las Vegas elementary school was arrested yesterday on a child abuse charge.

Suzanna Raygoza Rosen was arrested after the family of a 6-year-old boy at Cunningham Elementary School complained about injuries in November. Clark County School District Police officials said an investigation revealed that Rosen physically grabbed the student after he didn’t follow her direction.

Other students in the class witnessed the incident. Rosen’s status with the district has been updated to “assigned to home,” and she has been charged with one count of felony child abuse, making her the third teacher this year arrested on a child abuse charge.
