Henderson Votes To Sell Land To Raiders For Practice Facility, Headquarters

The Henderson City Council voted Tuesday to sell 55 vacant acres near Henderson Executive Airport to the Oakland Raiders - soon be known as the Las Vegas Raiders - for $6-million.

That’s half the land’s appraised value.

The unanimous vote puts Henderson one step closer to establishing the area as the NFL team’s new headquarters and practice facility.

Once the sale is finalized, developers plan to begin construction on the facility right away.

It’s expected to be finished long before the 2020 completion of the Raiders’ new Las Vegas stadium.
