There are now several places to buy marijuana on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, but California towns on the other side of the lake will have to wait a while longer.
On January 1, adults 21 and over will be allowed to possess up to one ounce of pot in California, but most ski towns in Northern California won't allow sales just yet.
Some of the popular ski towns, including South Lake Tahoe and Truckee, have moratoriums on recreational marijuana businesses, which means the products won’t be available until late spring.
