Dozens Of Diabetes Drugs To Be Covered By New Transparency Law

Nevada Health and Human Services officials have named more than three dozen diabetes medications that will be covered by the state’s new law governing transparency on drug pricing.

The Nevada Independent reports the list of diabetes pharmaceuticals the health agency deemed “essential” includes drugs from almost 100 distributors and manufacturers.

Under the new law, the drugs on the list will be responsible for disclosing certain pricing changes, and insurance companies will have to notify customers during open enrollment if they choose to stop covering any drug on the list.
