Clark County Outlaws Feeding Feral Pigeons

Clark County commissioners voted this week to outlaw the feeding of feral pigeons in an effort to control the birds' population.

Feeding the birds is considered a public nuisance and can now lead to a fine of up to $1,000 and even six months in jail.

Commissioners hope that stopping feedings will discourage pigeons from roosting in large flocks on buildings.

The birds’ corrosive droppings can damage buildings and carry disease.
