3 Companies Plan To Build Homes On Old North Las Vegas Pig Farm

The area surrounding what used to be a pig farm in North Las Vegas now has three home builders making plans to construct hundreds of homes there.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Century Communities, Pulte Homes and Beazer Homes acquired about 60 acres on Ann Road between Commerce and Fifth streets.

They paid almost $12.9 million for the North Las Vegas land, close to where R.C. Farms used to operate.

Bob Combs, who fed casino leftovers to pigs for years, sold his farm site and almost 120 acres of adjacent land last year to investors.

The Combs family is still operating, now at the Apex landfill.
