Proposed Budget Cuts Could Hurt Carson City Park Plans

Several parks projects in Carson City are at risk due to proposed budget cuts.

Projects like the playground and disability access upgrades at Ross Gold Park, the disc golf course and safety improvements at the Carson Rifle Range could be put on hold if federal grant money doesn’t come through.

The Nevada Appeal reports that various federal programs that are facing cuts or elimination, such as AmeriCorps Vista, could negatively impact the city’s plans for the upgrades.
