Patent Office Approves Use Of Golden Knights Name During Games

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has okayed the use of the Vegas Golden Knights team name during games.

Last week, the agency reversed its denial of the team’s trademark application. When it gets final approval, the team will be allowed to use the name for a wider variety of purposes. Owner Bill Foley didn’t expect to have to change the name.

But trademark attorney Patrick Jennings tells the Las Vegas Sun federal support serves as a buffer against possible future legal issues.
