Clark County Warns Marijuana Businesses Against Promoting Public Use

Las Vegas marijuana businesses received a letter from the Clark County Business License Department this week, reminding them about pot regulations and consumption.

The Las Vegas Sun reports the letter threatens to suspend or take away dispensary licenses for any involvement with non-licensed pot business and anything that promotes public consumption.

The letter said dispensaries cannot publicize marijuana yoga, swimming events, parties or dinners – even if those events are held in a private residence. The Department of Business License Director Jaqueline Holloway also labeled pot consumption on tour buses and limousines as unlawful.

The letter was issued in response to several violations across the county, including a dispensary that was advertising weed-assisted karate and yoga sessions
