The Southwest Utah Public Health Department said six more cases of E. coli have been confirmed in Hildale Utah, bringing the total number of cases to 11.
The department issued a warning to residents there about consuming raw milk and beef. The outbreak began last month and has already killed two children. Previous updates from the health department said there was no sign of E.Coli in Hildale’s water system.
Hildale and adjoining Colorado City Arizona are collectively known as Short Creek and are home to the polygamous Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The previous E.coli patients had no connection to the church.
