Information on Nevada’s voters will be turned over to President Donald Trump’s Election Integrity Commission, but without all of the information that was requested.
Nevada’s top election official, Barbara Cegavske, said the Nevada Secretary of State’s office will provide information such as names, addresses, dates of birth and voting history, but will not provide confidential information such as a voter’s social security number.
Cegavske said in a statement today that Nevada’s public records law requires her to provide specific voter information to those who request it. The request was made from the Trump administration after the president’s claims that three to five million people voted illegally in the 2016 election.
