Nevada Senators are considering a measure to remove the requirement that pharmacies need to see a prescription to distribute an antidote for opioid overdose.
The Las Vegas Sun reports an amended version of Assembly Bill 428 was approved by the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services Wednesday.
The 2015 session produced policy changes that allowed paramedics and others to administer Narcan, but most people, including friends and family of drug users, still need a prescription to acquire that type of drug
