Starting this summer, drivers in Las Vegas will be required by law to slow down and change lanes if possible to accommodate pulled-over Nevada Department of Transportation vehicles, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
The new provision was outlined in Assembly Bill 17 signed this week by Governor Brian Sandoval.
Currently in Nevada, a so-called “move over law” applies to law enforcement vehicles.

The bill updates the law to include NDOT, construction and road repair vehicles. The department says since 1948, 24 people have been killed while working on state roads.
The change takes effect July 1.
