Hot, Crowded Weekend Expected On The Strip

Memorial Day weekend is anticipated to be hotter and more crowded than last year on the Las Vegas Strip.

The National Weather Service has predicted Monday will be the hottest day of the weekend, possibly topping out at the 100-degree mark, beating last year’s 93.

Officials with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority estimate there to be 328,000 tourists on the Strip, compared with last year’s 325,000. They said the .9 percent increase is significant given Las Vegas’ position in a post-recession economy.
