Representative Mark Amodei and Senator Dean Heller faced tough questions at a northern Nevada town hall Monday morning.
Hundreds showed up Monday at a Reno convention center for a chance to grill Nevada's Republicans in Congress.
At least a hundred more had to be turned away because the room was at capacity.
Both Heller and Amodei have been facing the brunt of a wave of liberal activism that’s sprung up in the wake of President Trump's election.
In February, they faced tough questions – along with some jeers and boos – at a business lunch in Carson City over proposed plans to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. Monday's event was largely the same.
Attendees questioned the pair's stances on health care, immigration, public lands and Trump cabinet nominees. Much of the shouting was directed toward Heller, whose often equivocal answers were met with chants of “yes or no.”
But not all parts of the town hall were heated. Pledges from the pair to protect health care, planned parenthood and the environment, as well as a promise to “look into” single-payer health care, drew applause from the crowd.
