Las Vegas may be gearing up for another run at an MLS team.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports city council will explore spending money on a consultancy group with the end result of getting professional soccer to the area.

In 2015, members of the city council, including Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman, pushed hard for a stadium to be built in Symphony Park.

That stadium would have been home to a Major League Soccer team, but the league did not award Las Vegas an expansion team during its most recent rounds of league reform.
