Escort services are now included in Nevada’s recently edited live entertainment tax, but state officials have had trouble tracking down those businesses to collect the money.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports challenges in locating those businesses, especially in Clark County, is adversely affecting the biennial state budget currently in effect.
The shortfall represents almost $20 million.

The Legislature expanded the tax in 2015 and it took effect October 1st of the same year.
