LAS VEGAS (AP) — State gaming officials are investigating a $5,000 payout from the Golden Gate hotel-casino that was missing a paper trail.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board filed a complaint on Tuesday against Golden Gate and sister casino D Las Vegas. The second casino is accused of providing $25,000 credit to a different customer without checking that person's credit.
Majority owner in both casinos Derek Stevens says both incidents stem from paper-trail errors. He says a longtime customer at the Golden Gate failed to sign a marker for his $5,000 chip stack from a craps table.
