Las Vegas Council Penalizes Owners Of Neglected Silverstone Golf Course

The Las Vegas City Council voted yesterday to crack down on the Silverstone golf course, after neighbors told officials they worried the lack of water for the course’s landscaping would reduce their property values.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the council voted unanimously to assess almost $2,900 in inspection fees and up to $94,500 for daily civil penalties.  They also decided to post a lien for $97,380.

The city wrote the owners a letter in January warning them about catching up on maintenance on the golf course.
