Gas Prices Increase In Nevada

Gas prices across Nevada have gone up, and residents of Elko are feeling the increase more than most places in the state.

The Elko Daily Free Press reports a recent AAA survey shows Elko gas prices went up at a rate nearly treble that of the rest of the state.

On average, Elko residents are paying around $2.61 a gallon, up 32 cents from last month.

Las Vegas residents pay, on average, about 20 cents less than those in Elko.

Statewide, the average price per gallon is $2.48.

The most expensive gas in the state, according to AAA, is in Reno – it's around $2.70 a gallon.
